What type of massage should I receive? Our massage service descriptions are meant to convey the general experience of each treatment, rather than focusing on specific techniques. Making your choice based on these descriptions gives your therapist a good idea of what you are looking for while leaving room for them to customize to your needs. If you need further help with choosing a service or have any questions you may utilize our online chat or emailing at willomoonwellnessllc@gmail.com.

How should I prepare for my first treatment? You can begin by considering your current needs, so you may effectively communicate them to your therapist once you arrive. It is helpful to note areas of tension or pain, recent activities and overall levels of stress. Your therapist can then tailor your experience to your needs, from the techniques they use to the music or enhancements they suggest. On the day of your massage treatment it is recommended that you hydrate with plenty of water. before and after your appointment. Also avoid heavy meals within the two hours before your appointment. It can also be helpful to have scheduled downtime following your appointment. Taking it easy allows your body to integrate the effects of your massage more fully. Our Naptime enhancement is designed to add this time of integration through deep rest directly to your appointment

What should I expect during my first session?Upon arrival we ask that you call or send a text message with your name and appointment time. We will then let you know when your therapist is ready for you to enter. After completing Covid health screening and our intake form you will be taken into your treatment room. There, your therapist will review your medical history and ask questions pertaining to your treatment. Once they are clear on your needs and expectations they will instruct you in how to prepare and get onto the table for your massage, leaving the room for a few minutes as you get ready. You may undress fully, partially or stay clothed according to your comfort and the type of treatment you are receiving. They will then give a knock to the door before entering. This is when your 30, 60 or 90 minute treatment begins. Please feel free to give your therapist feedback at any time regarding your comfort and enjoyment of your service. At the end of your allotted time your therapist will gently rouse you and then leave the room for you to prepare and come out when you are ready. Payment may be taken care of before or after your appointment.

What if I feel self concious of my body?As owner of perfectly imperfect bodies we get it! As health care professionals who focus on muscles and soft tissues we are unconcerned with your body hair, blemishes, or the appearance of your feet. Our rooms are dimly lit during treatements and we work mostly by feel. You are always free to request any area of your body to be avoided, even if you decide mid-treatment. We are welcoming and accepting of all bodies and gender expressions, especially those who have been affected by injury, illness, trauma, or disability, whom massage therapy can greatly benefit.

What if I get an erection? Please dont allow fear of this happening to keep you from wellness care. This is a normal response to touch anywhere on the body and is likely to occur in states of deep relaxation or around sleep. Your therapist understands these facts and will ignore an erection if it occurs. * Please note that sexual behaviour during a massage session is unacceptable. Your therapist may end a session due to inappropriate behavior. *
